OpenSUSE 13.2 GNOME Edition : Video Overview and Screenshot Tours

OpenSUSE 13.2 has been released and announced by The openSUSE Project Developer, it now available to download and install on you computer. In addition include KDE as default desktop, this release openSUSE Project Developer also include the latest GNOME 3.14 as desktop environment.

According to OpenSUSE 13.2 official announcement, GNOME 3.14 includes greatly improved support for HiDPI screens and MultiTouch input devices, including gestures support. Network and geolocation capabilities has been also dramaticaly improved, as well as Wayland integration. All GNOME applications have received a lot of new features and improvement. In addition, this is the first release of openSUSE including GNOME Software, the ‘AppStore’ for the GNOME Desktop, nicely integrated with default openSUSE package management system. Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon edition has been released and announced by Linux Mint Developer, come with many new improvements, featuring a brand new, more stable and polished Cinnamon than ever, based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Linux Kernel 3.13. Linux Mint 17.1 is a long term support release which will be supported until 2019.

Cinnamon 2.4 is the latest version of cinnamon desktop environment, brings with an impressive number of new features and improvements. The interface has been revamped, several settings modules have now a more logical structure, Nemo has received support for folder colors, dynamic sidebar and emblems, there is a new font used called Noto, while the Mint-X theme ships with additional color schemes for icons. The language settings module and the update manager also received an overhaul.
